此件作品以“马踏浪花”为创作出发点，运用连贯且富有延续性的轮廓曲线勾勒出桐江山水的秀美风情；同时这抽象的山水又融入了剪纸与玉如意的造型意象，赋予了雕塑本土文化特征且寓意美好；剪纸化的奔马造型与雕塑主体表面的剪影镂空相呼应，造型简洁有力，同时也强化了雕塑的在地性。
This work takes “Horse Treading on Waves” as the starting point for its creation, and uses consistent and continuous contour curves to outline the beautiful scenery of the Tongjiang River; at the same time, this abstract landscape is integrated with the stylized imagery of paper cuttings and jade ruyi, which endows the sculpture with local cultural characteristics and a good meaning; the shape of the paper cuttings of the galloping horse echoes the silhouettes on the surface of the sculpture's main body, which are simple and powerful, and also strengthens the sculpture's locality.
