A public  art collective composed of artists, mechanics,
and interactive  engineers .  We are dedicated  to fusing
crossmedia technologies, such as shape, shadow, sound
and  mechanicsinto the creation of art.  We continuously
attempt to break through previous artistic cognition and
technical means to  achieve  a  dialogue between artists
and  urban  cultural   lanscapes .  Crosscutting   creative
ideas enable their  works  to present  more  possibilities.

Team Leader | Xu Ge

Associate Professor, China Academy of Art, Ph.D
Member of Chinese Sculpture Society
Director of Zhejiang Sculpture Society
Born in 1983 in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, Xu Ge completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the China Academy of Art (CAA), and in 2008 he went to Italy to study on exchange at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts, and in 2010 he stayed in the school to teach at the Department of Public Space Art at CAFA, where he has been teaching since then. 2017 he went to the School of Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University as a visiting scholar.

Xu Ge's work stems from his fascination with science, especially mechanics, physics, and electronic control. Deeply influenced by the European classical art of automata, the way machines move, the sounds they make, and their inherent poetry are a few of the aspects he focuses on. Once the machine has lost its functionality, the mechanisms contained within it that generate movement and simulate life are the source of this fascination.

In recent years, the intervention of technological media such as sound and light, as well as the popularization of modern control technology, has led him to try to create a series of dynamic, rigorous yet warm technological art expressions in the context of public art. The dynamic and changing interventions make the originally static plastic arts have an infinite extension in the dimension of time.
