Wind is the oldest, most universal, yet most elusive force in nature. Without form, it carves dunes and canyons; without sound, it compels all things to sing. The *Signals from the Wind* series of works visualizes and sonifies the creative process of this "silent artist."

Artist Xu Ge turns his gaze to the local cultural DNA of the Land of Abundance and the humanistic ecology of the campus, creating a dialogue with the wind, the land, and the future through a 6.6-meter-high installation. Using mechanical and technological media, he captures the trajectory, speed, and force of the wind, transforming them into a series of signals directly perceptible to human senses. Thus, the invisible wind is made visible, and the silent voice is given sound.

The work incorporates bamboo weaving, a craft most emblematic of Sichuan's regional character and Eastern wisdom. Bamboo, hollow-jointed, upright yet flexible, is itself a crystallization of the collaboration between nature and artisan spirit. This is both a contemporary tribute to intangible cultural heritage and an embodiment of the work as a massive, warm "instrument" or "antenna," awaiting the wind's arrival. The life of the work unfolds in two stages. First, within the "white cube" space of the Tianfu College of SWUFE Art Museum in Chengdu, it is focused upon and contemplated, guiding viewers to reflect on the relationship between natural forces and artistic transformation. After the exhibition, it will be permanently relocated to the campus's outdoor environment. This migration is crucial, signifying the work's transition from a viewed "object" to an integrated "background" and "companion" in the daily lives of teachers and students. There, it will witness the changing seasons and the shift from dawn to dusk, sense the vibrancy of youth and the quiet contemplation of study, truly becoming part of the campus ecology and collective memory.
