By deconstructing the existing shapes of the seventeen poplar trees on site and refining their forms . The form of the poplars at this moment in time is copied in equal proportions using readymade products and metal. The trees will continue to grow and change, but the sculpture is frozen in time, creating a relative state between them. The seventeen trees, moulded from old readymade objects, reflect our capture of the ever-changing record of life, grafted into an integrated context that interprets local life and its parallel relationship with the present reality.
At the same time it is an ongoing living creative programme. Every five years, according to the new state of growth of the poplar trees, new old materials are added to the original foundation of the sculpture, and continuous copying work is carried out. These old objects with the characteristics of the times are accompanied by the cycle of our life and the metamorphosis of the city to give new life to the works, and become a monument of time.
Due to site reasons the work did not end up being floor mounted.
